About me
Joyce Regina
My name is Joyce Regina.
I am a certified yoga teacher, developmental psychologist, and singer-songwriter.
In 2017, my own life changed profoundly after sustaining a traumatic brain injury (TBI) from a severe fall.
In 2017, my own life changed profoundly after sustaining a traumatic brain injury (TBI) from a severe fall.
Through my personal recovery process, I discovered the immense value of returning to the basics: simple practices and, above all, tuning deeply into the body.
In a world that often moves too fast and feels too loud, I understand the complex journey of living with a brain injury all too well.

Fortunately, I was able to lean on my own yoga practice, which I have dedicated myself to since 1990.
I noticed how yoga made it easier to find stillness amidst the chaos, to befriend my new boundaries, and to gradually feel at home in my body once again.

In my online classes, I offer a safe, intimate setting for both groups and 1-on-1 sessions, where gentle movement, psychological insights, and music come together.
These sessions are specifically designed to soothe an overstimulated nervous system.

During the deep relaxation phases, I weave my own songs into the session, playing the guitar and harmonium.
These calming, live sounds and chants act as a powerful anchor for your nervous system.
They support neuroplasticity—the brain’s natural ability to adapt and heal—and help you gently reconnect with your altered body, step by step.

I have often practiced yoga nidra, but Joyce's stands out for being so complete and authentic. With her music (as a treat), so warm and calm—delightful!
